Vocabathon 2015

The Vocabathon will be held on Wednesday, May 6th (Day 5) and Thursday, May 7th (Day 6) in all classes. If you are unable to finish during that class period, schedule time with Frau Wilson to complete it before Friday, May 15th!

Unser GAPP Austausch

Wissahickon HS has a school-to-school exchange with the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Gymnasium in Osnabrück, Germany, located in the northern state of Niedersachsen. As part of the German-American Partnership Program, 20 WHS students travel to Germany every other summer to stay with students from our host school for 3 weeks and enjoy traveling to other parts of Germany. Wissahickon students will host their German partners in October 2015.

The next GAPP group will be selected through an application process in the fall of 2014 for travel to Germany in June-July of 2015. Students must be in the 10th or 11th grade to apply. Approximate cost of the trip is $2400, which includes airfare and all travel in Germany, accommodations, activities, and most meals. Fundraising opportunities exist and all costs are subject to change.
